This is Remilia Scarlet from the Touhou series. She is not accurate to the source game and instead focuses on melee attacks rather than relying on projectile spam.

*Can only be done if you have selected "Shield" during the defense selection menu at the start of the match.

Defense System:
Remilia features a defense selection system and as the name implies you are able to select from 3 (for now) types of defensive abilities you can use before the beginning of the first round from Ex-Shielding to even parrying.

- Ex-Shielding: Melty Blood style of parrying. Time it at the right time to parry an attack. You can also hold down the shield button to use a continuous shield, however doing so will drain power rapidly and the effects of the shield won't be as effective if just Shielded at the right moment (Ex-Shield).

- Parry: Press forward at the right time before an incoming attack from your opponent connects to parry an attack SF3 style.

- Just Defense: Press back at the right time before an incoming attack from your opponent to slightly parry the attack (though no freeze time will occur) and restore a tiny portion of your lifebar.

Striker system:
As of version 2, you are now able to turn off the strikers. To turn off the strikers, open the option.txt file and set var 33 to 1

6-28-09: Made aerial attacks much easier to chain now, fixed a non-working helper in Dracula's Cradle, new sword sprites for Fate (Sorry Kurogane), initial attack of Overdrive won't KO the opponent now, overdrive does more damage now, heavy version of Servant Flier does more damage now, added Pause times for heavy Demon Arrow

7-27-09: Changed the hit velocities of Demon Cradle, Fixed the timings on Fate, Added some new sounds

10-19-09:Created an option.txt which will now allow you to turn off the strikers, New hyper portrait that will inform you that your character is taking a beating at low life, Added an explod for crouching light attack, Lowered hit pauses for faster basic attacks, New Lv.1 Super: Vampire Kiss added, New Lv.2 Super: Devil Bringer added, New Overdrive portrait, Changed up the ground types in the basic attacks, Made the window of doing a succesful Just Defense smaller, Removed the infinite priority on most of her basic attacks, Added a win screen, Fixed up the air jumping/jump cancelling, Changed up the custom state in Fate, Fixed the guard flags for the aerial basics, Reduced the number of helpers in Dracula's cradle to cut down lag, Changed hit velocities of Demon Cradle

12-1-09: Futher balanced the priorities (hit boxes) of some of her basic attacks, fixes to the cmd to address the conflicting commands

1-24-10: Reduced the hit stun/pause of her aerial basics, made it easier to get a higher grade in technique, added on-screen gauges that monitor the strikers, added Dizzy animation, added new mirror shatter effect for Fate as well as reworked the custom states

2-13-10: Better synchronization of Remilia and Arcueid during the overdrive, redid the custom states of the overdrive for better effect, minor sprite edits done to Remilia for Fate, new mirror shatter effect for Fate, new small and hyper portraits
